Teaching staff and students returned to school today, after 13 days of general strike in pre-university education units.
The averages of the students who start the national exams are concluded and the last grades of the children from the other years of study are put, given that the school year ends on Friday.
In Suceava also, the teachers returned to the department, after yesterday they supported the continuation of the strike. RRA Mihaela Buculei has details:
In Suceava, the strike was suspended. It is not concluded, which means that it can be resumed if the provisions of the emergency ordinance are not respected. At least that's what union leaders say.
Vasile Budusanu: Today, my colleagues, a little disappointed, went to class, they understood that we cannot continue alone. We were below the percentage of 50%, which we can no longer afford, to be on strike, although Suceava yesterday morning was close to 80% for the strike. If these are the rules of democracy, we obey. Anyway, the conflict is suspended. For now we are still waiting to see what happens.
The spokesperson of the Suceava County School Inspectorate, Cezar Anutei: Classes have resumed in all educational units in Suceava County. At the School Inspectorate, we have not received any notification regarding the fact that there are teachers who are continuing the strike.
Reporter: Once back in the classroom, teachers have to wrap up students' school situations and prepare for the upcoming national exams.
Producer: The students of the 8th grade will take the National Assessment from Monday, and from June 26 the written tests of the Baccalaureate exam will begin.
