TAROM General Manager Eugen Davidoiu resigned on Monday, six months after his appointment, amid the Prime Minister's discontent with the company's activity.
According to official sources quoted by RRA Reporter Petruţa Obrejan, TAROM Director has had a meeting, this morning, with Prime Minister Mihai Tudose at the Victoria Palace and subsequently announced that he was giving up the company's leadership.
The talks were also attended by Minister of Transport Răzvan Cuc, also criticized by the Prime Minister at the last Government meeting, because he accepted a poor leadership at the State-owned Romanian Airline Company.
In the first six months of 2017, TAROM losses were almost 100 million lei, more than double of those registered last year.
In 2016, TAROM also lost its second ranking position in Romania in terms of number of passengers.
Considering the current situation, the Prime Minister has sent his Control Body to Check on Tarom, starting from today.
