Talks between Romania and Montenegro's Prime Ministers
Romanian and Montenegrin Prime Ministers have discussed bilateral cooperation, NATO and Romania’s support for Montenegro on its European path.

Romanian and Montenegrin Prime Ministers Viorica Dăncilă and Dusko Markovici have discussed today at Victoria Palace in Bucharest about development of bilateral cooperation, NATO cooperation and Romania’s support for Montenegro on its European path.
RRA Reporter Andrei Serban: Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă congratulated Montenegro for the progress on the road to integration into the European Union and reaffirmed that Bucharest will provide all the support Montenegro needs. Romanian Prime Minister also underlined the good cooperation the two states have within NATO. Viorica Dăncilă has also listed some areas of bilateral cooperation, such as energy, agriculture and tourism.
Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă: We have agreed to continue consultations between Transelectrica and the Montenegrin electricity transmission company, to identify a cooperation formula. Agriculture is also another key area of our bilateral relationship. I suggested to my counterpart cooperation in the field of production, food processing, as well as exchange of expertise between scientific research institutes of the two countries.
RRA Reporter: Montenegrin Prime Minister Dusko Markovici thanked Romania for the support it is offering to his country on the road to European integration.
Prime Minister Dusko Markovici: Romania is for us not only a friend but also a partner who can help Montenegro on the basis of its experience as a Member State of the European Union. Our European perspective is very important and we have discussed the future of the region and the European Union.
RRA Reporter: Romanian and Montenegrin Prime Ministers have also set the basis for a business forum this year to support cooperation of businesspeople from both countries.
