Stock markets around the world fell sharply in reaction to the global trade tariffs announced by US President Donald Trump.
The dollar depreciated and oil prices also fell.
Investors fear tariffs will hurt economic growth and increase inflation worldwide.
Japan's main stock index fell almost 3%, while European bourses also fell.
The Bucharest Stock Exchange also closed Thursday's session down on all indices.
The Bucharest Stock Exchange's main index, the BET - which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the regulated market - depreciated by 1.32% to 17.330 points.
