State of emergency in Romania extended with 30 days
So far, 346 people have died from the new coronavirus. 241 are in intensive care. Since the burst of COVID-19, 6879 cases have been confirmed in Romania.

President Klaus Iohannis announced on Tuesday extension of the state of emergency in Romania with another 30 days.
“We have issued today the decree extending the state of emergency with 30 days on the territory of Romania so that the most effective measures against COVID-19 continue to be taken”, said the head of state.
“Schools remain closed and all educational activities requiring physical presence are suspended,” President said.
“During the state of emergency, prices can be capped for medicines and medical equipment, food staples and public utility services, such as electricity and heating, gas, water supply, sanitation or fuels,” said the Head of State at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace.
