State of alert in Vrancea as a result of the heavy snow and the blizzard that affected especially the south of the county.
The weather forecast does not bring good news even for the next 24 hours when precipitation in the form of snow and intensification of the wind are expected that will blizzard the snow and in this way will complicate the intervention of snow removal machines.
There are total traffic restrictions at this time on national road 2 E85 for vehicles with a mass of over 7.5 tons, a situation that has led to the formation of columns of trucks stationed both in parking lots and on the reserve lane of this road sector.
Traffic restrictions are maintained for all categories of vehicles on the DN 2 sector between Obrejita and the Buzau county border, as well as on seven other national roads and 11 other county roads.
The intervention of the operator in charge of the maintenance of some county road sectors was insufficient, so the representatives of the County Council announced that they had supplemented the number of machines for removing snow and for the resumption of traffic.
Due to the blizzard and the snow almost 1400 consumers, mainly from the mountain area of the county, villages belonging to the Tulnici commune, Lepsa and Gresu are not supplied with electricity.
Several medical emergencies in areas where access is difficult were carried out with the support of tracked vehicles belonging to ISU Vrancea and two other similar vehicles belonging to MApN are available to the authorities to intervene if needed.
All medical emergencies reached the destination hospital units.
In the first part of yesterday, 148 soldiers were requested to remove snow from vehicles or people in risk situations. The authorities recommended avoiding journeys that are not essential, and in case of emergencies, they should be carried out with vehicles properly prepared and equipped for difficult traffic conditions, with the provision of water and fuel reserves for unforeseen situations.
