New challenges in the Black Sea region has been one of the main topics discussed on Tuesday in the first day of the 22nd Economic Forum in Krynica, Poland, organized by the Institute for Eastern Studies, under the motto “New visions for difficult times. Europe and the world in the face of crisis”, says RRA special envoy Adrian Lungu.
Attending the Economic Forum, Speaker of the Romanian Senate, Călin Popescu Tăriceanu, in anexclusive interview for RRA: Promoting common values and interests of the European Union is important, also communication among Member States, identifying real issues and finding solutions for the development of the European project.
Călin Popescu Tăriceanu: European Union has become stronger and more attractive, and EU solidarity and cohesion are key factors in maintaining this political project, the most successful we have known throughout history. For us, as Romanians and Europeans, this project is a great success, not only from the economic point of view, in terms of our welfare, but ultimately from the point of view of key element, namely the political stability and the ability to look to the future with trust.
