Senator Cezar Măgureanu is being investigated by prosecutors, his name appears in a case in which are investigated members of an organized criminal group with cross-border linkages , specialized in achieving significant financial benefits.
There are also investigated directors of ANAF( National Agency for Fiscal Administration) and commissioners from Financial Guard, the damage being created over 40 million euros annually, according to a press release of the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism.
Cezar Măgureanu rejects the accusations brought by the prosecutors, saying he is a man with integrity, who comes from a good family and very well known in Giurgiu.
"It is shameful what is happening. I have a healthy family, serious, I have done nothing to contravene the laws, neither now nor before 1989, "said Cezar Măgureanu.
Within the Bucharest municipality area and Giurgiu , Ilfov, Buzău, Argeş, Gorj, Dolj, Timiş Bihor, Constanța and Vâlcea counties held over 250 domiciliary searches in order to deconstructed a criminal group with cross-border linkages , specialized in obtaining repayment of illegal VAT.
