About 1,800 Romanian and foreign troops, with 250 technical means, participate in the SCORPIONS FURY 18 (SCFY18) multinational exercise which takes place between 5-16 November in the Romanian Land Forces Combat Training Center in Cincu, Brașov County.
SCFY18 aims to assess the capacity of the Multinational Brigade South-East Command to carry out its assigned mission - computer assisted exercises (CAX), field training exercises, and tactical fighting exercises - to declare its ultimate capability, informs a press release received from the Romanian Ministry of Defense (MApN).
Exercise is attended by Romanian and foreign troops from the Allied Land Command (LANDCOM, based in Izmir, Turkey), Romanian Land Forces Staff, Multinational Division South East (MNDSE), Joint Training Center, subordinated units of the South East Multinational Brigade (20th Infantry Battalion, 22th Battalion Infantry, 26th Infantry Battalion, 325 Artillery Battalion, 205th Anti-Air Defense Battalion, 116th Logistic Support Battalion, Polish Military Contingent) as well as affiliated structures during the exercise (38th Mechanized Battalion, Bulgaria, 6th Cavalry Regiment, Italy and Pandur II Battalion Portugal).

Command of the Multinational Brigade Southeast in Craiova has the mission to coordinate a NATO-type Article 5 operation - Collective Defense, Brigade level, to contribute to security of territory and population on the Southeast Flank of the Alliance.
