Scheduled shutdown at Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant
Unit 1 of Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant will enter the scheduled shutdown program on May 2.

Unit 1 of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant will enter the scheduled shutdown program starting from May 2. Reactor will be disconnected from the national energy system at 11:00, Nuclearelectrica announced on Friday in a press release.
Planned stoppage time is approximately 30 days, according to the planning of the preventive and corrective maintenance required to be completed in this period.
During shutdown, maintenance staff will carry out activities from the preventive and corrective maintenance program, inspection program, will perform mandatory testing during the planned outages, and program in reference to changes implementation.
Work related to the scheduled shutdown of Unit 1 will be carried out safely for the personnel, public and environment, according to the approved procedures used at Cernavodă NPP, press release states.
