Russian anti-virus programs, "danger to public computer systems"

Producer: Russian anti-virus programs represent a danger for public IT systems, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca warned. He specified that the Executive will adopt measures to prohibit the purchase and use of such products by public institutions and authorities.
Nicolae Ciuca: We need to supplement the measures. Thus, based on the notifications and on the basis of what was discussed with the specialists in the field, who found very clearly that Russian anti-virus software represents a danger for public IT systems, we will take a decision today to regulate the protection of the informatics systems as practically as possible.
Producer: According to the Minister of Research and Innovation, Sebastian Burduja, within 60 days of the entry into force of the law, anti-virus products and services from entities in the Russian Federation or under its control will be disconnected or uninstalled from the networks and computer systems of authorities and public institutions at central and local level.
