The Russian Federation's charge d'affaires in Bucharest was urgently summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was told that Romania strongly condemns the repeated violation of national airspace by Russian military drones.

This is a flagrant violation of international law by a permanent member of the UN Security Council, says the Romanian Foreign Ministry, which emphasizes that these illegal and irresponsible attacks must stop.

Romania reserves the right to take the necessary response measures and has informed the allied structures about this new incident, the ministry's statement added.

On Thursday, two Russian drones carrying explosive material violated Romanian airspace and crashed on Romania's territory near the border with Ukraine.
