Rural police makes the target for changes
Liviu Popa, Romania’s Police Chief, asserts that institution’s change project includes also the abolition of countryside police stations.

Liviu Popa, Romania’s Police Chief announced, at Bistriţa, that the General Inspectorate of Romanian Police works out a project regarding some changes in the institution.
Liviu Popa added that the project provides, among others, the abolition of countryside police stations.
This measure will not lead to cutbacks forasmuch the policemen from those local areas will become cops responsible for one district/district cops.
Moreover, it will redirect the resources allotted for maintaining police stations to fuel and police cars spare parts.
Liviu Popa outlined that only this way will be satisfied the need for cops on streets all day long.
