Ilie Dobre, famous sports commentator for the Radio Romania News (Radio Romania Actualități, RRA - Romania's National State Radio) has been included into the World Record Academy's Hall of Fame.
World Record Academy Hall of Fame is the world's largest and most prestigious organization that recognizes extraordinary achievements by record holders around the world, and certifies world records. It is based in Miami (USA). Over the last ten years, World Record Academy has approved 4,500 new world records (100 records of excellence).
Radio Romania News sports commentator Ilie Dobre is the first Romanian to set 10 world records certified by the World Record Academy, which also awarded him in 2014 the "Man of the Year in Media" Prize, for the promotion of sports, moral values, fair play and social values in sport.
Among the world records are Dobre’s longest broadcast of a goal with one respiration (35, 6 seconds single-breath shout at a time of a score during a live broadcast of a football game); longest broadcast of a goal with one respiration during a studio transmission (52, 3 seconds); longest shout (1 minute and 8 seconds) with a single breath, titles "The most successful sports commentator in the world" and „The sports radio commentator with the highest number of sport-related published books” (45).
A unique performance in the history of world press.
World Record Academy also reveals that Ilie Dobre was awarded, in 2008, the "National Order for Merit" in the rank of Knight by the Romanian Presidency.
