Romanians increasingly buying energy storage systems

Repeated power outages and voltage fluctuations caused by the heatwave are driving Romanians to buy more and more energy storage systems. Over the past year, their installation has risen significantly, from almost one hundred in 2023 to several hundred requests in the last two months.
Energy storage systems protect household appliances from sudden voltage drops, can be installed in a matter of hours and allow operation for about 24 hours if disconnected from the electricity grid.
In addition to continuous power supply, the systems help with intelligent energy management and protection against fluctuations. A very important aspect is that the transition from grid to storage takes less than a second, which means that the supply and operation of electrical equipment is not interrupted, according to an analysis by a Romanian company generating renewable energy solutions.
For consumers without photovoltaic panels, the systems store energy when the electricity grid is working and release it when needed. The systems can be up to the size of a container, capable of powering an entire factory for a day, with a storage capacity of three to several hundred kilowatt-hours.
