Uşeriu reached the Finish line on Thursday night at 1:20 (Romania's time), less than 173 hours after the start of the race.
This year, the Polar Circle Marathon has had 618 kilometers, 60 more compared to last year's edition.
RRA Reporter, Cristiana Sabău: "23 competitors have started on March 8 the 380-miles distance of the 6633 Arctic Ultra-Marathon, but more than half of them abandoned the first part of the race. Tiberiu Uşeriu (Bistriţa) took over the leadership from the start and managed to be the leader until the end. He finished the competition last night, at 1:20 (Romania's time), after about 173 hours.Along with Tibi Uşeriu, three other Romanians took part in this competition: Avram Iancu (Petroşani) - disabled athlete, Levente Polgar and Florentina Iofcea (Romanian residing in Canada). All three abandoned race.
Tibi Uşeriu will return to Romania on March 22nd".
