Romanian Supreme Court overrules Liviu Dragnea's appeal
Liviu Dragnea has been incarcerated at the Rahova penitentiary since the end of May, following corruption charges.

Romanian Supreme Court has overruled, on Tuesday, the annulment appeal filed by former PSD President Liviu Dragnea. Decision is final.
Former Social-Democratic leader demanded annulment of the sentence of 3 years and 6 months in prison. In the appeal filed almost two months ago, Liviu Dragnea's lawyers argued that sentence should be annulled, and trial re-appealed, because procedures regarding judicial completions were not respected.
Liviu Dragnea has been incarcerated at the Rahova penitentiary since the end of May and has to execute 3 years and 6 months in the file of fictitious employment at the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Teleorman County.
