Romanian Prime Minister Mihai Tudose has resigned on Monday after a meeting of the ruling Social Democratic Party that lasted more than five hours.
“I am quitting with my head high”, Tudose said, a little over six months after he took office.
According to the law on the organization and functioning of the Romanian Government, an official address will be sent tomorrow to the Presidential Administration.
Romanian President, Klaus Iohannis, will take note of the resignation of Prime Minister Mihai Tudose and will issue the vacancy Decree and the Decree appointing another member of the Government as interim Prime Minister to fulfill the duties of the Prime Minister until the formation of the new Government.
Both Presidential Decrees will enter into force once they are published in the Official Gazette.
