European Commission supports Romania in common interest topis, such as development of the economy, EU Green Deal, IT field, reform of the justice system, EC President Ursula Von Der Leyen said on Thursday in a meeting in Brussels with Romanian Prime Minister, Ludovic Orban.
RRA Special Envoy Petruţa Obrejan: Romania is a serious, responsible and determined partner in achieving EU's objectives and applying regulations of the European institutions, said Prime Minister Ludovic Orban. In Romania there have been recent events that profoundly changed the reality and both the Presidency and the Government are determined to achieve the proposed objectives, he said.
Prime Minister Ludovic Orban: We want the new budget of the European Union to maintain the same attention for the cohesion policy, the common agricultural policy ... We want each country to have a special attention within the European Green Deal and we want a real support for each country in achieving the objectives set by this extremely ambitious deal which the European Commission proposes.
EC President Ursula von der Leyen: We have discussed topics of common interest, be it the European Green Deal or the development of the economy. We will also discuss about how the EU can be prepared for the digital age and I count on Romania in this area, because you have an excellent reputation in the field.
