Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta stopped short of answering an allegation launched by the country's President Traian Băsescu recently.
He only said that it was not the government but the MPs entitled to set an enquiry commission though he was not supposed to accept such initiatives being blocked only because someone would lose his temper.
In another development, Finance Minister Daniel Chiţoiu confirmed a phone call of President Băsescu weeks ago when the president said that Radu Graţian Gheţea, the current chief executive of the CEC, Romania's only state bank, should not be removed from the job following an expected CEC restructuring, RADIO ROMANIA reported.
