Natural Mineral Water of Stânceni, Romania, has been awarded the Gold Medal at the World Selection 2019 international competition organized in Brussels by Monde Selection Belgium. Quality of Stânceni Water was appreciated both for drinking and for medicinal properties.
"It is a Gold Medal taken in Brussels at an international mineral water competition on the quality of water, in terms of mineralization. It is one of the richest waters in magnesium and sodium, with the smallest amount of calcium. It was the best of the best", Mayor of Stânceni, Dinu Ciobotă, told Radio Romania Târgu-Mureș.
Stânceni Springs are located in the central part of Romania, in the Eastern Carpathians in the protected area of Călimani National Park, away from any source of pollution, volcanic rocks supplying water with a special mineral content.
A few years ago, Stânceni was declared the richest place in Romania, with the highest income per capita. Explanation comes from the fact that over the last 10 years, this commune has attracted over 8.5 million euros for investments, of which almost half are European funds. Other projects are now running in the socio-medical field, integration of marginalized persons and maintenance of investments made in the past.
