Romanian Language Day, in “detail” at Radio Romania
Radio Romania proposed this year, when the Romanian language is celebrated simultaneously with Our Language from R. Moldavia Day, to create a real link between the two holidays.

Saturday, August the 31st, with the occasion of Romanian Language Day, Radio Romania offers to its listeners a real marathon of reportages, live shows, duplexes, mini documentaries and correspondences, through which they will be permanently in touch with the events dedicated to this holiday and the promotion of Romanian language.
If “Romanian language is my country” (Nichita Stanescu), reporters and Radio Romania producers proposed this year, when Romanian language is celebrated simultaneously with Our Language from R. Moldavia, to create a link between the two holidays of the same language.
Thus, Chisinau and Bucharest will be in an open dialogue at Radio Romania, in the two duplexes realized with Radio Chisinau.
Starting 12.05, Radio Romania News proposes a first connection with the events in Chisinau within the TV show Open in weekend.
Starting 16.00, Radio Romania Cultural will continue the connection Chisinau-Bucharest, in a duplex where will participate live personalities in the two studios. There will be broadcasted, also, memorable recordings with Ion Hadarca and Grigore Vieru, from the Great National Meeting in Chisinau from August the 27th 1989.
Along with Bucharest and Chisinau, Bucegi plateau completes the map with events dedicated to Romanian language at which Radio Romania will live connect its listeners.
Starting 15.05, Radio Romania News will bring Bucegi plateau within the studio, on waves, within the TV show “Ca pe roate”, within a live show from the highest point of the country where this year Romanian language will be celebrated.
The fabulous Romanian language will be the subject of the special edition of the Saturday evening Radio, broadcast on Radio Romania News from 19.50.
Under the main title Romanian Language Day, live from Bucharest and Chisinau on Bucegi heights, from New York, in London and Paris, will be realized a retrospective of events organized during the day on both shores of Prut River, but also incursions within the program of manifestations organized worldwide with the occasion of the national language day, run under ICR.
The Romanian language will occupy the foreground of the TV show, which will contain also reportage about the world congress of Eminescu from Chisinau, scheduled at the same anniversary period (August 30th – 31st).
The Romanian Service of Radio Romania International adds at its portfolio the TV shows mentioned already, Weekend with friends, broadcasting an interview with acad.
Valeriu Matei, ICR Chisinau director within the TV show On the lookout at Romanian language gates, but also recordings from the Gold Library with Grigore Vieru, Leonida Lari and Adrian Paunescu.
The TV show Romania live proposes a live interview with Marius Clenciu, the president of the National Council of the ProBasarabia and Bucovina Association, but also a live broadcast from Transcarpatia, with Sergiu Dan at the other end of the wire.
The celebration of Romanian Language Day continues at RRI with the interactive TV show Foreground, Romania, dedicated to the events from the subsidiary ICR from USA, Canada or the R. Moldavia.
The man of the day, under whose sign will be held the program from August the 31st at Radio Romania 3Net “Florian Pittis” is Lucian Blaga, whose quote of the day is: “the language is the first poem of a nation”.
The programs Radio 3Net “Florian Pittis” are mostly musical, and the Romanian Language Day will be celebrated through audio and video recital of music and poetry of interpreters known for the good use of Romanian language, from Millenium to Mircea Baniciu, from Zdob and Zdub to Nicu Alifantis, from Taxi to Dinu Olarasu, from Poesis to the laureates of festivals Good Man and Folk You. There will be broadcast also the most interesting appearances of soloists and young bands which evolved within the weekly TV show Rehearsal Hall.
Exclusively at IT column of Radio 3Net “Florian Pittis” will be presented the AutoCorrect soft, very usefull to those who use the correct Romanian language on their computers.
The presentation will contain details of downloading for this soft, the systems of operation which supports it and the minimum features of the computer on which this soft is supposed to be installed, but also its facilities –diacritics adding, orthographical and punctuation corrections.
