Romanian National Cyber Security Response Center CERT-RO warns that several hospitals in Romania have been cyber-attacked with ransomware applications.
Through these applications, hackers block computer systems, and require money to unblock them.
There is no indication of how many healthcare institutions have been affected by these applications, but CERT-RO experts recommend taking precautions as well as reporting incidents by calling 1911.
This number can be called free of charge from any telephone network and is available nonstop.
