Romanian graduates of US military academies advanced in grade

Romanian Defense Minister, Gabriel Leş, and Chief of Defense, General Nicolae Ciucă participated, on Wednesday, June 5, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense (MApN), at the ceremony of granting first degree officer to the Romanian graduates of the military academies in the States United States of America. An American delegation headed by the US Defense Attaché to Romania, Colonel Scott Weston, was present at this event.
Ovidiu-Gabriel Baciu, graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and Petruţ Ghiță, graduate of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs were awarded the rank of second lieutenant by order of Romanian Minister of Defense.
At the same ceremony, graduates of the national military colleges who were admitted this year to studies at the military academies of the US force categories were also congratulated. From "Ștefan cel Mare" Military National College, three graduates have been admitted this year to study in the United States: Răzvan Moldovanu, who study for the next four years at the Colorado Springs Air Force Military Academy, Bogdan Daniliuc who will go to West Point Military Academy and Mădălin-Georgel Savin who, together with Cezara-Ioana Vlad from the “Tudor Vladimirescu” National Military College, will attend the US Naval Academy at Annapolis.
