Romanian Foreign Minister, Teodor Meleşcanu, is participating today in Austria at the informal meeting of the Heads of Foreign Ministries from the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Member States.
On the Agenda: Issues related to the security of Europe, the implementation of the commitments made by the Member States in the political, military, economic, environmental and human resources fields.
The participants will also discuss the OSCE's efforts to resolve the crisis in Ukraine and the prolonged conflicts, especially the one in Transnistria, to prevent violent extremism.
The Romanian Foreign Ministry recalls that the OSCE is the most prominent regional political security forum, both in terms of the geographic range that it covers and of the comprehensive approach to the concept of security.
