The Romanian exports have increased significantly to areas outside the European Union since the economic downturn began.
The announcement has been made by Mihai Andriţoiu, Vice-President of Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The exports consisted mostly of food, furniture, glassware and textiles. Israel, India, Cuba and countries in Central Asia were main destinations.
China is ranking first, with Romanian imports amounting to 1 billion euros, according to Chinese official figures.
Mr Andriţoiu says that the opening of offices of the Chamber has contributed to the increase of exports.
