Romanian Foreign Ministry confirmed, on Thursday night, that a Romanian citizen is among victims of the armed attack that took place on Wednesday evening in Hanau, Germany.
General Consulate of Romania in Bonn is in contact with the local authorities and got in touch with the deceased's family to provide the necessary assistance in such situations. At the disposal of Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu, repatriation will be ensured through the emergency fund.
Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sends condolences to the mourning family and firmly condemns any act of violence and xenophobic manifestation.
