Romanian Army Day will be celebrated tomorrow, October 25, through a series of events organized in the country.
In Bucharest, starting at 10:00, at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Carol I Park, a military and religious ceremony will take place, and several aircraft of the Romanian Air Force will fly over the area.
In the evening, from 19:00, the torchlight retreat will take place, from the Center of the Palace of the National Military Circle Palace, to the headquarters of the Mihai Viteazu 30th Guards Brigade, on Timisoara Boulevard.
On October 25, 1944, during the Second World War, the Romanian Army completely liberated the national territory from Nazi troops.
The Romanian soldiers then continued to fight on the territories of Hungary, Czechoslovakia and Austria, alongside the allied troops, until the Great Victory of May 9, 1945.
