Romania will shelter 109 refugees in 2018-2019

Romania will shelter, in 2018-2019, a number of 109 refugees of Syrian origin, temporarily based in Turkey, spokesperson for the Romanian Government, Nelu Barbu, announced on Thursday at a press conference at the Victoria Palace.

"In 2018-2019, Romania will receive 109 refugees of Syrian origin, temporarily based in Turkey. This decision is taken according to the resettlement quota established by the Committee for the Relocation of Refugees in Romania", said Barbu, adding that 40 refugees will come in 2018 and 69 refugees will arrive in 2019.
