Romania will be present at 2019 Venice Biennale Arte
"Unfinished conversations on the weight of absence".

Romania will be represented this year at the 58th edition of the Venice Biennale of Art by project "Unfinished conversations on the weight of absence". It was named after a contest, and the announcement was made on Wednesday by President of the Romanian Cultural Institute, Liliana Ţuroiu.
Liliana Ţuroiu: Project curator is Cristian Nae, and exhibition commissioner is Attila Kim. Project is called "Unfinished conversations on the weight of absence", with works of prestigious artists like Belu-Simion Făinaru, Dan Mihălţianu and Miklos Onucsan. It is an attempt to dialogue, to place into the same space and discuss the work of three well-known Romanian artists who have developed their careers both in Romania and abroad.
Exhibition, which will take place between May 11th and November 24th, will be held in two spaces - Pavilion of Romania in the Giardini della Biennale and New Gallery of the Romanian Institute of Culture and Humanistic Research in Venice, RRA Editor Pompilius Onofrei says.
