Romania wants to keep the position of EC for Agriculture

Elected President of the European Commission, Jean Claude Junker, will have, today, in Brussels, a first meeting with the EU Heads of State and Government, participating in an extraordinary summit dedicated to the priorities in the next five years and future appointments to other positions in the European institutions .
In the current context, Romania wants to keep, in the future, the position of the European Commissioner for Agriculture - Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean said last night on Radio Romania News.
"A priority of continuing the portfolio of agriculture is established, which is a portfolio with significant economic consequences, with a generous budget. Our best interest in the new cycle of the European Commission is for Romania to keep the portfolio which is relevant, important, reflecting the fact that our country has strengthened its profile, in the past two years in particular.
