Romania signs Memorandum for Patriot Missiles Systems
Romanian Prime Minister Mihai Tudose attended the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (M0U) for endowing the Romanian Armed Forces with Patriot air defense systems.

Romanian Prime Minister Mihai Tudose attended the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (M0U) for endowing the Romanian Armed Forces with Patriot air defense systems.
Memorandum stipulates transfer of technology and technical assistance necessary for the modernization and upgrading of existing equipment, as well as the provision of technical support for Patriot anti-missile systems.
The MoU allows effective procedures to be launched during this year for the aquisition of the first Patriot system endowed by the Romanian Armed Forces, in accordance with the Plan for Endowment fore 2017-2026 and in the context of Romania’s committments as a partner country in NATO’s Eastern Flank and strategic partner in the relationship with the United States, according to a Government press release.
US Ambassador to Bucharest, Hans Klemm, attended the signing ceremony.
