Romania's population decreased by 125,000 people last year

At the beginning of 2019, Romania’s population was 19.4 million people, which is 125,500 lower than in January 2018, shows provisional data of the National Institute of Statistics.
Process of demographic aging has deepened, with an increase of elderly population aged 65 and over.
