Romania's new justice minister is PM Victor Ponta
Justice Minister Mona Pivniceru, who was appointed as judge with the Constitutional Court on Tuesday, said she would submit her resignation on Wednesday.

It is Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta who will become the country's acting justice minister after current minister Mona Pivniceru is expected to quit the job.
The decision was made after Mr. Ponta discussed the issue with President Traian Băsescu, the government's press office said on Tuesday.
A new justice minister is to be appointed in 45 days.
Justice Minister Mona Pivniceru, who was appointed as judge with the Constitutional Court on Tuesday, said she would submit her resignation on Wednesday in order to avoid a potential conflict of interests.
