Romania's gas imports in the first four months of the year decreased by 45.6%

Romania's gas imports in the first four months of the year decreased by 45.6%, according to data compiled by the National Institute of Statistics.

Instead, domestic production increased by almost seven percent compared to the same period last year.

The National Strategy and Forecasting Commission estimated for 2023, in its latest published energy balance forecast, gas production to increase by 2 percent and imports to fall by 6.2 percent year-on-year.
