Host: Romania is ready for the fourth wave of the pandemic. However, as many people as possible should get vaccinated in order to stay safe of COVID-19 - said yesterday, Prime Minister Florin Citu, in Botosani, where he visited a vaccination center.
Florin Citu: We should get vaccinated if we want to get over the pandemic. In the winter, before the third wave, the problem we had was that we didn't have vaccine doses; we didn't have vaccination flow. We solved this problem. Today we have vaccines, and we also have vaccination centers. People are here from morning to evening, waiting to get people vaccinated, and in very good conditions. It is up to us to go through this fourth wave with as few cases as possible. We need to get vaccinated. There is no other solution. We are able to vaccinate over 100.000 people a day.
Host: Prime Minister Florin Citu considers that all personnel in the public system who come into contact with people must be vaccinated or tested. This would include not only the medical staff, but also the education staff, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense. This is the option he will propose and which will be discussed with specialists in the coalition - the prime minister also mentioned yesterday. He stressed that employees of state institutions that come into contact with citizens must be responsible.
