Romania is represented at the Berlin Film Festival, which started this week, with the documentary short film "Memories from the Eastern Front", by Radu Jude and Adrian Cioflanca.
Also present at this edition is the Romanian-French actress Anamaria Vartolomei, who was nominated for the best actress in France at the Lumiere Awards Gala.
The Berlin Film Festival opened with an emotional ceremony and a call for a return to normalcy after two years of pandemic.
By next Sunday, about 400 films will be screened, representing all genres, in the presence of the public, at a capacity of 50% of cinemas.
The mask is mandatory and the parties and receptions have been canceled. Last year, the Golden Bear for the best film was won by "Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn", directed by Radu Jude, the story of a teacher blamed by the community after the appearance of indecent recordings on the internet.
