Romania will be present at this year's World Expo in Japan with a 700 square meter pavilion combining tradition with modernity, natural resources, cultural creativity and technological innovation, these being some of the themes that will be promoted.
158 countries have confirmed their participation in Osaka for what organizers have dubbed ''the world's first exhibition to be held at sea'', where more than 25 million visitors are expected between April and October.
The theme Japan has chosen for the World Expo in Osaka is designing a future society for our lives.
Japan's Ambassador to Bucharest, Takashi Katae, indicated that through Romania's presence at Expo 2025, bilateral relations between the two countries will develop and deepen even further:
Takashi Katae: In addition to the pavilions with which countries will be present at the World Expo, such as Romania's, there will also be several thousand events, such as the National Day of a participating country. For example, Romania will mark a National Day on June 26. Expo 2025 in Osaka will be an opportunity not only to get to know the culture and traditions of the participating countries, but also an opportunity for visitors to familiarize themselves with some of the state-of-the-art technologies, virtual exhibitions, AI simultaneous interpretation system, and payments for shopping using facial recognition.
