RADOR RADIO ROMANIA (December 3) - Romania assumes a leading role in promoting solar energy at regional and global level by joining the International Solar Alliance, the representatives of the Ministry of Energy stated, after the authorities signed the commitment for the development of solar energy at the Global Environment Conference in the United Arab Emirates COP 28. The Alliance also represents an enabling environment for collaboration and knowledge transfer between the more than 120 member states to create partnerships and investments in the energy sector.
Thus, we will be able to benefit from international expertise and financial resources to accelerate the introduction of solar energy systems and other innovative technologies. Located in the European zone B in terms of sunshine, Romania benefits from approximately 210 sunny days per year and has the largest solar potential in the south-eastern area of Europe, says Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja.
