Romania is on a positive trend that we want to maintain, Prime Minister Mihai Tudose says, referring to the information released on Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics.
"The National Institute of Statistics announced today that Romania has an economic growth of 5.9% in the second quarter of 2017, compared to 5.7% in the first quarter of 2017.
It is a solid economic growth, coming from services and the 8% increase of the industrial production.
A major contribution also comes from medium and large added-value sectors such as high tech", Mihai Tudose wrote on Wednesday on Facebook.
According to the Head of the Executive, the average level of confidence in the economy was 105.1 points in the first seven months of this year, increasing significantly compared to 103.2 points in the corresponding period of 2016.
