RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - Romania has fulfilled all the objectives of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan assumed together with the European Commission, says the Minister of Economy.
Florin Spataru states that, regarding the reform component, certain milestones will have to be re-discussed in the next period, and this will contribute, along with investments, to an important leap of the Romanian economy, which has the capacity to grow four times by 2030, if the principles included in the NRRP are respected and the funds are used intelligently.
Bogdan Isopescu explains: “The Minister of Economy states that the opportunities offered by the NRRP are not only money, but also the principles of economic and administrative reform and all lead to a reindustrialization of Romania, according to the characteristics of the green economy and digitalization. Florin Spataru states that this European and national reform should not be called into question by any crisis, neither by the energy crisis, nor by COVID, nor by the crisis generated by the war in Ukraine.
Florin Spataru: "As long as we have a strategy adapted to the reality of the Romanian economy, all these crises we are going through should not be an obstacle in achieving the final objectives."
Government representatives say that the data gathered through the ghiseul.ro application show that Romanians are ready and want rapid digitization, an essential process for economic and administrative reform.
The vice-president of the Romanian Digitization Authority, Octavian Oprea: "We reached 350.000 users in December 2019, almost 1.4 million users today."
A large part of the NRRP funds meet this expectation of the population and companies. Thus, the financial resource is directed both to the simplification of the interaction between citizens and the administration, but also to the access to data between institutions."
