According to the head of the IMF mission in Romania, Erik de Vrijer, the Romanian authorities have to take measures to reach targets missed or delayed, especialy in the field of reducing state arrears and the reform of public companies.
A key element for the structural reform in Romania would be to streamline activity in state companies, Mr. de Vrijer insisted.
IMF has extended by three months the current stand-by agreement with Romania, in order to allow the country to resolve the delays in implementing its commitments.
