Romania has four "Blue Flag" beaches again

Articol de Radiojurnal, 20 Iunie 2020, 16:16

Romania again has four beaches labeled with the tag, "Blue Flag", after last year when only three beaches checked the criteria on water quality, safety and cleanliness, necessary to obtain certification.

In recent years, the number of certified Romanian beaches has fluctuated between three and four.

The four beaches that meet the conditions for the "Blue Flag" classification are Marina Regia, Phenicia (both from Navodari), Vega Vintage (Mamaia) and Citadel (Eforie).

Meanwhile, the number of Bulgarian beaches that have obtained certification has steadily increased and reached 15 this year.

Globally, more than 4.500 beaches have been certified in 2020.

Spain is still in first place with 590 beaches, followed by Greece (497), Turkey (486), Italy (407) and France (401).
