High-level quadrilateral meeting Romania-Bulgaria-Greece-Serbia is scheduled to start at the Victoria Palace in Bucharest.
Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă will attend the meeting, alongside the Bulgarian and Greek Premiers, Boyko Borisov and Alexis Tsipras, and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
Debates will focus on regional interconnection projects, the European perspective of the Western Balkans region and Serbia’s EU accession.
This is the third event of the kind, after Varna and Belgrade, which aims to increase cooperation among Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Serbia in terms of energy infrastructure, transport, trade, tourism, security and the migration issue. This cooperation intends to demonstrate that the region does not only geographically belong to Europe, but is an immutable part of the European idea, a region that does not generate problems, but is stable, predictable and complies with all the regulations and requirements of the European democracy.
Today's meeting will end with a joint press release in the Transylvania Hall of Victoria Palace, and a dinner offered by Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă to high-level guests.
