Romania benefits from the unequivocal support of the United States in view of the quickest possible accession to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) - according to conclusions of the Washington meeting between Romanian Minister for Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, Ştefan-Radu Oprea and US Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross.
The two officials discussed Romania's priorities for the Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the increase in the volume of investments in the context of the Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
According to statistical data, in the first nine months of this year, total bilateral trade amounted to almost two billion dollars, up 6.8% compared to the same period last year.
Romanian exports to the United States increased 29 percent to $ 1.15 billion, and imports from the US fell 15 percent, to $ 800 million.
