The Chief of Romanian Army's General Staff, General Nicolae Ciucă, has presented the steps Romania has taken to fulfill its obligations towards its Allies, to the President of the NATO Military Committee, General Petr Pavel.

These include the creation of the Multinational Brigade in Craiova, the participation with a company in the Battle Group Poland, the increase of the Romanian presence within NATO's Rapid Reaction Force.

Generals Ciucă and Pavel have both made press statements today at the Romanian National Military Club. Romania is a consistent and reliable ally with an active and real involvement, including by financially supporting the Defense by two per cent of its GDP, the President of the NATO Military Committee stated.

Romania significantly contributes to the NATO missions and operations, being among the top ten contributors to the Mission in Afghanistan, said General Petr Pavel, quoted by RRA Reporter Radu Dobriţoiu.
