Rodica Elena Tudor, the new star of Mamaia Festival
Aged 22 years, Rodica Elena Tudor unanimously won the Grand Trophy of the National Pop Music Festival Mamaia 2012.

At the end of four days of intense competition, the Grand Trophy of the 42th edition of the National Festival of Music Mamaia 2012 was granted to a 22 years young, from Prahova County, Rodica Elena Tudor.
While receiving the trophy, she thanked everyone who helped her career, a special place being accorded to the late composer Serban Georgescu.
"In 2010, on this stage, I obtained the second prize and I promised to late Serban Georgescu that I will not stop. Today I thank the good Lord for helping me to keep my promise," said, visibly excited, Rodica Elena Tudor while receiving the trophy.
The Grand Trophy winner of the competition was unanimously decided by the Constanta county councilors.
Horia Moculescu composer won the first place in the section Creation with "iron silences" George Țărnea songwriter, performer Horia Moculescu.
In Section Interpretation, the first prize was accorded, after Rodica Elena Tudor won the Grand Trophy, to nearly 17 years young from Bucharest, Cristina Alexandra Sipos, the following places were won by Mihaela Chisnencu, 19 years, and Adnan Bian Olariu, 19 years from Hunedoara.
The three awards were received also together with a cash prize worthing 1,500 euros for the first place, 1,000 euros for the second place and 500 euros for the third place.
Second place in Section Creation and the 1,000 euros prize was won by composer Dan Petru Dumitriu with the song 'I'm waiting, kiss me', on a text by George Popovici, played by Irina Ionescu, aged about 14 years, the youngest presence at this festival.
The third place and 500 euros prize returned to composer Valentin Constantin Rotari with "Love Song'', on the lyrics of lyricists Aniela Rotari Felicia and Alexandra Ana Ivan, Aurelian Temişan interpreter, accompanied on saxophone by Cornel Radu.
Prize Section Rock, In memoriam "Teo Peter" was won, just like the 2011 edition, by Addiction band, with a slightly modified composition of the last year.
At the number 42 edition of the Pop Music Festival Mamaia 2012 were offered other prizes.
Media Prize was awarded to first prize winner of the Interpretation, Alexandra Cristina Sipos, Irina Ionescu received the Romanian Radio Broadcasting prize for how she performed the song "I'm waiting, kiss me," music by Dan Petru Dumitriu, text by George Popovici .
Edict young rock band was rewarded with Foundation "Fantasio" Award.
The last night of the festival ended with a concert of almost an hour given by Mircea Baniciu & Pacifica.
