RO-ALERT will send warnings for each situation triggered by bad weather

A bad weather meteorological warning with generally moderate precipitation, frost and wind intensifications, valid throughout the country until Friday afternoon, comes into force. However, there are some areas for which meteorologists have established a Code Yellow.

In the Southern and Curvature Carpathians it will snow abundantly during this interval, a consistent layer of snow will be deposited, and the wind will blizzard the snow, especially at high altitudes.

Also under Code Yellow are, for two days, the counties of Caras Severin, Gorj, Valcea, Arges, Dambovita, Prahova, Buzau and Vrancea, where there will be significant rainfall.

People will be notified through the RO-ALERT system every time a special situation is triggered by severe weather, depending on the area of manifestation, announces Minister Marcel Vela.

Today, at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a videoconference took place in the presence of the interim prime minister Nicolae Ciuca, in order to verify the degree of preparation of the state institutions responsible for managing the specific situations of the cold season.
