The Radio Big Band, together with the vocal duo "New Vegas Show", will present the show "Researching for the Moon" on Thursday evening, from 19:00, on the stage of the Radio Hall in the capital.
The concert marks the 55th anniversary of the moon landing: on July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin became the first people to step foot on Earth's natural satellite.
"The Moon will sound really good tonight" - says Big Band conductor Simona Strungaru, who also announces the surprise of the show: the presence on stage of the only Romanian to have made it into space.
Simona Strungaru: Diaphanous sonorities combined with exuberant ones, melancholy, eagerness. We have a very wide range of emotions, which the valuable instrumentalists of the Big Band will highlight in the compositions and arrangements of important musicians, and we will be able to listen to astronaut Dumitru Prunariu, who will honor us with his presence and will tell us about the vibration of the moon felt from very close, from space.
