Black Sea research area will be expanded with the support of European partners, because it is an area of European interest, Romanian Minister of Research and Innovation, Nicolae Hurduc, said on Wednesday during an international conference which also takes place today in Bucharest.
A multinational scientific group will be set up to work in the long run to attract both scientific and economic projects aimed at revitalizing the Black Sea, Minister Nicolae Hurduc also said at the conference.
Minister Nicolae Hurduc: It is time the Black Sea benefited from collaboration among scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs and societies. Climate change, flora and fauna have no borders, and as such, inter-country collaboration should not have borders when it comes to common good. The Black Sea is just as important as the Mediterranean Sea or the Baltic Sea, because it is not only the European Union's border, but also a rich and unique natural and cultural environment.
